Adyen, the global payments provider has appointee Hayley Fisher as the new country manager for Australia and New Zealand replacing Michel van Aalten who will return to the Netherlands to take up a new role.

Fisher was previously Adyen’s head of channel and partnerships strategy.

She has worked with the $US97 billion Dutch payments group Adyen since 2018 and brings more than 15 years of commercial experience in sales, strategy, and leadership roles.

Prior to joining Adyen, Fisher worked for several payments and platform companies including mobile payments provider Boku and cloud communications platform provider Sinch.

Having worked directly with Ayden's partners and merchants for the past three years, her appointment will help grow the company's unified commerce footprint across Australia and New Zealand, while reinforcing partnerships with payment partners to benefit Adyen merchants.

“Hayley’s background and experience at Adyen will further build on the great work that Michel van Aalten has delivered," said Warren Hayashi, president, Asia Pacific at Adyen.

“With strong foundations from the success of Michel’s leadership over the past five years, I am looking forward to building on this momentum and driving Adyen’s strategic vision forward,” added Fisher.

Adyen, the Amsterdam-based technology company that processes payments for businesses including Facebook, Google Uber, and Spotify, provides an end-to-end infrastructure connecting directly to Visa, Mastercard, and other payment methods. Adyen delivers frictionless payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels.
