Non major bank ING won the Lender of the Year Award  at the RFi Group Australian Lending Awards.

ING also won in two other categories including Best Customer Experience and Best First Home Buyer Lender.

“At ING we operate as a very collaborative team across all areas of the bank,” ING head of third-party distribution and direct mortgages Glenn Gibson said.

“We start and end with the customer in mind and to have that recognised by way of these award wins makes us very proud.”

The awards, now in its tenth year recognise the country’s top mortgage and personal loan lenders.

These awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements within the mortgage and lending industry and RFi Group congratulates all the winners, in what was a highly competitive contest.

“I reflect that this year’s awards take a different tone to last year’s awards

“And perhaps it’s because we are not facing an impending royal commission,” RFI Group managing director Julien Wilson said.

“What is reflected in our research and our experience with clients over the last 12 months is that lenders are delivering on meaningful change for the better.
