Monoova hires head of growth
Payments fintech Monoova has hired Tyson Hackwood as head of growth, as the business continues to expand into the Australian payments market.
Hackwood will be responsible for promoting the adoption of new, automated payment technologies to support the scalability of Australian companies.
Monoova’s clients include Supay, DiviPay, ManagedAPP and ASX-listed firm Splitit.
The business has also eeked a deal with the New Payments Platform.
Since its launch, Monoova (formerly known as Moneytech Payments) has processed transactions to a total value of about $2 billion, with strong growth of 42 per cent experienced in the December quarter of 2019.
Hackwood joins Monoova from Braintree, a PayPal Service, where he was the head of Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, Hackwood drove the growth of the Braintree business from launch in the Asia Pacific region.
With over 15 years’ experience in the payments and technology sector, he has also held senior positions with global payments provider PayPal and Vodafone.
