Police & Nurses (PNL), operating as P&N Group, has hired Jacqueline Ryan as its general manager, business banking as it looks to grow its national presence.

With the successful merger and subsequent integration of the organisation’s customer-owned banking brands (P&N Bank in Western Australia and bcu in New South Wales and south-east Queensland), the group has ambitious plans to continue to grow its national presence and footprint both organically and through future partnerships.

P&N Group CEO, Andrew Hadley says a dedicated and reinvigorated focus on business banking is a key part of the group’s strategy.

With an extensive background in business banking gained both in Australia and overseas, Ryan most recently held a senior executive role within the Queensland government, leading the QRIDA COVID-19 response loan and business support grant programs.

“Prior to that, she held business banking positions with a couple of the major banks, including ANZ, and has international financial services experience having worked with US Bancorp and Wells Fargo in the United States.

“Ryan’s strengths lie in her understanding of risk and governance management within the business banking space, building relationships and stakeholder management at a senior executive level, and engaging and building successful and high performing teams,” says Hadley.

“I am looking forward to working in the customer-owned financial services space for an organisation that truly has its customers at the heart of everything it does and I am excited at the opportunity to make a difference in the group’s business banking business,” says Ryan.
