Asia: Indonesia circulates new bank notes

Bank Indonesia (Indonesia’s central bank) just launched a new series of bank notes in early December 2016. The new bank notes will have enhanced security features such as ultraviolet marks, security thread, recto-verso and others. Some elements are not visible for naked eyes. The new notes were launched as part of regular action to prevent counterfeit in a country where most payment transactions are still being done through cash.
