Asia: OCBC Bank to roll out new voice banking service in Singapore

To tap into the expected growth in stand-alone digital voice assistants, OCBC Bank has become the first bank in Singapore to provide digital voice assistant services through Google’s virtual assistant.

Customers are set to benefit from this new voice banking initiative, which allows them to access banking services such as retirement planning and to receive financial market updates by speaking to their Google Assistant on a smartphone or a Google Home device.

OCBC Bank, being one of the market leaders in Singapore, plans on adding more banking services such as payment and balance enquiries to voice banking, and will continue to innovate in partnership with technology companies.
