NZ Business confidence continues to improve

The ANZ Business Outlook survey has shown that business confidence has been improving since October, with a net 32% of firms optimistic about general prospects, an improvement of five points since the previous month. A net 42% of businesses expect improvements in their own business over the next 12 months, with improvements in confidence also showing in investment intention and hiring intention. Inflation expectation was down to 2.1%, the lowest level since September 1999.
