UAE: Emirates Islamic adds Pakistan to its QuickRemit service

Emirates Islamic has announced that its QuickRemit service is now available for customers who wish to send remittances to Pakistan.

Emirates Islamic customers can avail of the service to conduct QuickRemit transfers to any bank account in Pakistan within one hour, with the exception of Faysal Bank accounts which can receive remittances in less than 60 seconds.

Emirates Islamic customers can use the bank’s online and mobile banking channels to access the QuickRemit service at competitive exchange rates and without incurring fees.

According to RFi Group data, 13% of Pakistani expatriates have a banking relationship with Emirates Islamic. Pakistan is also among the top three countries receiving the highest remittances from the UAE and the rest of the world so there is an opportunity for Emirates Islamic to capture a large portion of this market.

Wasim Saifi, Deputy CEO – Consumer Banking and Wealth Management, of Emirates Islamic, said: “Extending our QuickRemit transfer service to Pakistan enhances our value proposition to one of our key customer segments. With QuickRemit service, we now offer customers a safe, quick and seamless platform to send money back to Pakistan.”
