UAE: Emirates NBD launches FaceBanking on its new online banking platform

Emirates NBD has launched a new and innovative online banking channel called FaceBanking, which allows customers to instant video and live chat with advisors as part of their revamped online and mobile banking platforms. FaceBanking is a 24/7 service and the first of its kind in the region.

Following the launch, Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President & Group Head of Emirates NBD, said that “moving from a transactional to a social experience, our new online platform truly delivers on Emirates NBD’s promise of providing digital banking with a human touch.  Be it a query on an account or a loan discussion, customers can chat with a Personal Banking Advisor from anywhere with the click of a button via FaceBanking.”

According to RFi Group data, 27% of UAE consumers currently use digital banking channels frequently (at least once a week). At 30%, this proportion is higher among Emirates NBD main bank customers and it is likely that innovations such as FaceBanking will help the bank promote adoption of its digital channels going forward.
